This indicator measures the employment status of parents living in the household with their children. Children in households with no parents are coded as not having at least one parent with year-round, full-time employment. A parent is considered to work year round if they worked at least 50 weeks. A parent is consider to work full time if they usually work at least 35 hours per week.
